Communicating change
Comet was facing the biggest change in its history – de-merger from parent company Kingfisher. Managers needed to be able to explain and champion the move to their teams and get their buy-in to operational changes while minimising disruption to the business.
We developed and ran workshops for managers and staff. We helped them understand how people are affected by major disruption and gave them techniques for dealing with change.
We then asked managers to explore a range of techniques for communicating change to their teams. They developed the sensitivity and flexibility to communicate effectively with colleagues about the de-merger and the ability to respond positively to major change in future.
